We have owned our cottage on Honoco Rd.for well over 30 yrs. Since retirement in 2003 we have spent most of the summers here. We enjoy the quietness, great fishing, boating and swimming as well as the spectacular sun sets. Family times are to be treasured here at the lake. Last of all the beautiful fall tree colors reflecting on the lake are fantastic. God bless.

I have a small lot at 1236 honoco rd. 2.7 miles down the road, this is my 5th summer here, I have a 2 story house in King ferry, however I stay here 6 months because Lake life to me is like a 6 month vacation. Sure I work, I am the rural carrier at the Aurora Post office, When work is done, its relaxing to be on the lake, everyone is in a good mood, always waving as you drive by and neighbors visit each other often at the lake verses not on the lake. Its great to hop in the boat and go to dinner at Kidder's, O'Mally's, Deerhead, Wolfie's, or the Boatyard, also the Wheel house in Union Springs. If you're a fisherman, the Bullhead are a plentiful catch right off  the dock, along with Perch, Bass, etc. I have a 22 ft RV. and I enjoy living in that for 6 months better than the drab 6 months in the house.

We fell in love with our cottage on Honoco Road and made it our "Home Away From Home", traveling to Aurora nearly every weekend after purchasing the house in 2006. A weekend on Honoco means boating, fishing, long walks, enjoying the peaceful calmness of the lake in the mornings, and watching spectacular sunsets in the evenings.

If you like fishing, boating, and water sports  then Cayuga Lake is the place for you.  If  you enjoy a quiet day at the lake and a beautiful sunset to end the day, as we do, you would love Honoco Road.  We are toward the south end of  the road and even though it may seem like a slow ride in, the beauty, neighbors and  quiet are worth the drive.
